Connect an AI Assistant

Point your favorite AI client at Folio's MCP server to let it read and manage your ebooks, chapters, and writing — acting securely as you.

Copy this URL — every client below needs it.

  1. 1Open Claude and click your profile (bottom-left).
  2. 2Go to Settings → Connectors.
  3. 3Click "Add custom connector".
  4. 4Name it (e.g. "Folio") and paste the MCP Server URL above.
  5. 5Click Add to save the connector.

One last step: approve access

Because Folio uses your account, each client opens our consent page the first time. Sign in with your Folio account and approve — the assistant only ever acts as you.

Refresh after updates

If we add new tools, your assistant caches the old list — reload the connector in your client to pick up the changes.
