This policy explains how AiFolio handles your personal data under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and how you can exercise your rights.
AiFolio is the controller of the personal data processed through this app. If you have questions about this policy or how your data is handled, contact us through the Help & Support page.
Account data (name, email, password hash), the ebooks, chapters, comments, and collaboration records you create, profile preferences, purchase and payment records processed via our payment provider (Stripe), and basic usage analytics needed to run the service.
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the writing, publishing, and sales features), based on your consent where required (for example optional notifications and marketing emails), and based on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and improving it.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent at any time; and receive your data in a portable format. You can view, edit, and export your books from the app, and delete your entire account and its data from Privacy Settings.
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service: Stripe (payments), our AI providers for writing and cover features (your content is sent only when you request AI features), Google (sign-in, optional integrations), and our email provider for notifications and receipts. We never sell your data.
Some of our providers operate outside the UK and EEA. Where this happens, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent approved mechanism.
Your content is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and book content are permanently purged. Access to data is restricted to what is needed to operate the service, and all traffic is encrypted in transit.
To exercise any right, contact us through the Help & Support page and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

We use essential cookies to run the app, and optional analytics & advertising cookies to understand how visitors use AiFolio. Choose whether to allow the optional ones.
